Mark Robertson- Lean 6 Sigma Engineering Expert
Mr. Robertson is a successful executive with over 31 years of experience in engineering, quality, sales, and manufacturing management. He has led and developed teams in sales, engineering, quality and manufacturing management in the OEM Automotive and Industrial Business markets.
Mr. Robertson brings a long history of experience from his training while employed with Vibracoustic and Freudenberg-NOK. Both of these companies Lean Systems implementation are linked to James Womack’s storied career as the founder of the Lean Enterprise Institute as well as documenting lean systems in multiple award-winning books about the beginning of the Toyota Production System and the implementation of lean in automotive and other industries. His writings included project examples from Freudenberg-NOK lean projects in the early 1990s when Mark’s Lean training began bringing lean and quality transformation, improved product development lead times and strong supplier development to the business.
Mr. Robertson has traveled extensively to Europe, China, Japan and Mexico improving products and adding world class manufacturing capabilities to overseas operations. He was instrumental in adding polymer production, molding and assembly operations to existing sites in Europe and a new facility in China.
As an Executive Business Manager Mr. Robertson gained experience in technically demanding manufacturing operations leading teams in businesses generating revenue of over 65M. His focus on developing high performance teams to execute continuous improvement has resulted in exceeding profit levels by over 300% during some of the most difficult economic climates in recent history. These results were generated through improvements in all aspects of manufacturing operations and the associated business processes. His experience has resulted in demonstrated profit delivery in varied economic climates in executive roles.
Mr. Robertson holds an associate degree in Mechanical Design from Wentworth Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of New Hampshire. In addition to his degrees Mr. Robertson has completed extensive training in Lean Systems, APQP, PPAP, and ISO.
